American, 1837-1908,was an American pastoral and landscape painter. Originally from England, he relocated to the U.S. (specifically, New York City, where he later studied mechanical drawing in 1865) around 1862. He is recorded as having lived in Brooklyn from 1879 to 1907, along with his sister, Annie, and her husband, John Bond. He never married. ZubovNicolas Bernard Lepicie was a French painter (16 June 1735 - 15 September 1784), the son of two reputed engravers at the time, Francois-Bernard and Renee-Elisabeth, was introduced to the artistic and cultural environment by his parents.
Nicolas-Bernard studied with reputed artists of the century including Carle Vanloo. In 1769 he was accepted to the Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture in Paris. Three years later, in 1770, he became an assistant professor and, in 1777, a professor. Important names such as Carle Vernet, Jean-Frederic Schall, Jean-Antoine-Theodore Giroust, Jean-Joseph Taillasson, Henri-Pierre Danloux, Jean-Baptiste Regnault and Nicolas-Antoine.
Leon Bazille Perrault (20 June 1832, Poitiers - 1908, Royan) was a French painter.
A student of William Bouguereau and François-Edouard Picot, he exhibited at the Salon from 1863 onwards, producing several works, in the academic tradition. He was famous for his le petit naufrag (The little shipwrecked boy, 1874) and his paintings of children.
